Baest Journal: “a journal of queer forms & affects … all forms of submissions are welcome, including poetry, essays, reviews, (non)fictions, soundscapes, appendages of new media, monsters that could be called ‘theories,’ archives, past-and-present times, meanderings, hybrid beings, artistries, creations, excretions, hypnagogic ramblings, & whatever else seems fit to email to baestjournal@gmail.com.” No deadline. Gasher First Book Scholarship: “In an effort to support equality and accessibility within literary publishing, Gasher Press is pleased to offer a $250 scholarship to an emerging poet currently submitting their first-book manuscript to help cover the submission costs for contests and open reading periods.” Deadline July 29. No fee. 

Ghost Proposal Chapbook Contest: “We seek cohesive manuscripts. We are especially interested in work that challenges genre/formal conventions. Visual poems, digital works and interdisciplinary approaches are welcome.” Deadline: June 30. Sliding scale reading fee of $0-$20.

River River Books: “Inspired by the idea that you cannot step in the same river twice, at River River Books, two poetry editors join together to publish two exceptional poetry titles a year.” Submissions open for Full-Length Poetry Manuscripts. Deadline: July 31. Pay-what-you-can reading fee.
