I AM SCARED OF APPEARING WEAK BUT NOT OF BEING WEAK by PAIGE ALLEN

on my morning walk I saw a man setting a small fire and I thought
I could do that
now that i have come home to the woods fire seems less like protest and
more a friend of my dad’s
now i think
water might be the way to go
having never lived thru war or needed a rly good hiding place
i think floating might be nice
as a way to leave a room

Paige Allen is from Upstate New York but sometimes leaves for 6 months thinking there are better places. Her work has appeared on Metatron and Hobart Pulp and rarely capitalizes correctly. She is very nearly 26 yrs old.
