Opportunities for Artists and Writers | March 2024

Small Harbor Publishing is accepting chapbook submissions for The Marginalia Series.

Chapbooks should be written by traditionally marginalized writers, be between 20-40 pages and include a title page, table of contents, and a list of acknowledgments for previously published poems (the collection as a whole must be unpublished).

Deadline: March 31st.

Hub City Press is currently accepting nonfiction queries from unagented writers from the American South. In your submission, include a one-page query letter about your manuscript, your full manuscript (.doc and .docx preferred), a bio, and a list of writers you know who might be willing to support your book.

Fractured Lit is accepting fiction chapbooks between 25-45 pages by a single author for its Inaugural Fractured Lit Chapbook Prize. Some individual pieces can be previously published (with acknowledgments provided), but chapbook submissions should be majority flash/microfiction and previously unpublished.

Deadline: April 14th
